Dr. Thomas is one of 11 board-certified orthopaedic physical therapy specialists in Baltimore City (Maryland), recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists, the governing board for the certification and re-certification of physical therapy clinical specialists; And only one of 10 physical therapists in the state who has been awarded the title of Fellow by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT).

He has earned multiple degrees in physical therapy including a Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate with honors from the University of Maryland Baltimore, ranked one of the top 15 physical therapy programs in the United States by US News & World Report.

Dr. Thomas currently serves on the editorial advisory board for PT in Motion , the official magazine of the American Physical Therapy Association; and as one of the Board of Directors for the Maryland Physical Therapy Association.  He is a former member of the National Physical Therapy Examination Development Committee for The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
